This is a nice trail just west of the Town of Litchfield, off Rte. 202. The entrance is just off Rte 202, on Whitehall Road. Much work has been done recently; sections have been given gravel treatment in order, presumably, to improve drainage. There are a number of speed-bump like items, and I don’t know what they are for. You head down the hill from the parking lot, past the Information board. The one tricky spot: when you hit a road right after where canoes are launched, turn right and the continuation is on your left.
Mostly in the woods with some slight hills, but there is a brief stretch in the open. There are a few alternative trails as you go, so you can get lost. I recently did an out-and-back that was 6 miles.
